Training report: ACTIVE: ACT against violence!

The Terre des hommes Romania team formed within the ACTIV project: ACT Against Violence!, has helped a number of 225 teachers better understand the issue of violence and gender-based violence in schools. The purpose of the training that took place between April and June 2022, is to create harmonious school environments for the positive development of children. This report is a testimony to the respective trainings.

The project "ACTIV: ACT Against Violence!" is carried out by Terre des hommes Switzerland Foundation (Romania), in partnership with the Representation in the Republic of Moldova of Terre des Hommes Lausanne Foundation – Switzerland and the Separate Division of Terre des hommes Foundation in Ukraine, with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021. The aim of the project is to change the school environment and reduce gender-based violence by addressing its structural causes: social norms, stereotypes, prejudices, lack of institutional intervention procedures, by involving children, who will become active actors of the changes.
