Migrant children who travel alone need to be protected by adults, by the authorities, they need help in order to find  a safe environment and have access to their rights.

In this context, Terre des hommes Romania along with its SUN project partners are working on a training needs assessment related to safeguarding the rights of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) at European level.

SUN project focuses on the use of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights as an effective legal instrument to promote and protect the rights of unaccompanied and separated refugee and migrant children on the EU territory. The project is implemented by 7 partners from 7 different countries, including Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and Spain.

This Newsletter shows the outcomes of project partners’ study visits to Italy and Romania, a brief insight into training needs analysis and best practices report, a very useful map of best practices in the project countries, and latest international news on migrant children protection.
