Terre des hommes Romania concluded the Kick-off meeting of i-RESTORE 2.0 project - ”Accessible Quality Restorative Justice processes for children in contact with the law in Europe” - during 14-16 November 2022 in Bucharest, Romania.
The Consortium partners composed of Terre des hommes Regional Hub in Hungary, Terre des hommes Hellas (Greece), European Forum for Restorative Justice (Belgium), Restorative Justice Netherlands, HALT (Netherlands), and Social Insurance Board (Estonia), under the leadership of Terre des hommes Romania discussed issues of project governance, including the latest novelties from the European Commission. The Kick-off meeting also had a technical dimension and served to discuss the modalities of the twinning arrangements which constitute a cornerstone of this project.
Next week, i-RESTORE 2.0 will organise its first meeting with the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) to help ensure clear alignment with project objectives, and, in the weeks to come, Child Advisory Boards (CABs) will be set-up in each of the four target countries (Romania, Greece, Estonia, and the Netherlands) to integrate children’s voices in the implementation of the project, and also prepare to launch the rapid needs assessments in these four countries with a purpose of practice improvement.
i-RESTORE 2.0 is a continuation of i-RESTORE phase 1, and in this second phase the project aims at making accessible quality restorative justice processes for children in contact with the law.
The project is co-financed by the European Union.
