The STEP IN project strengthens the capacity of professionals who work with migrants, but who are not specialized in mental health, to respond to basic mental health needs.

STEP IN trains professionals in the Problem Management+ (PM+) methodology. It is a short psychological intervention that can be carried out either by refugees, peer-to-peer, or by cultural mediators, community assistants, social workers, educators, animators and other professionals working with migrants to target common problems arising in the process of relocation: stress, anxiety, depression.
By promoting the implementation of PM+ programs, the STEP IN project aims to promote mental health and well-being among migrant populations.
The STEP IN project is financed by the European Commission and is implemented in partnership with Terre des hommes - Romania, JRS Romania, SOS Villaggi dei Bambini - Italia, Terre des hommes Ηellas - Γη των ναρωνη Centro Penc, and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
Proiectul STEP IN este finanțat de Comisia Europeană.
