Some of the children we work with in our Advisory Boards have been included in the newly created Government of Children and Youth, an initiative of several non-governmental organizations that support children in Romania. Representatives of the press and decision makers have been present a t the event and discussed with the children.
The four teenage girls from our Advisory Councils represent the Ministry of Migration and they gave a speech about the ways in which authorities should support migrant children or children affected by migration. They are advocating for a friendly school that supports all children, for rethinking the ``auditor system`` and replacing it with a preparatory year and they request a recruitment process for teachers and educational assistants, among other measures.
The children will follow up with the Government and Parliament in the following months so that they make sure measures are at least taken into consideration.
