Young refugees, who live in Bucharest, Brașov and Constanta and young Romanians, leaders in their student communities presented a few interesting solutions, as we organized an advocacy event alongside our partner, UNHCR Romania. The young refugees found concrete solutions such as: refugee student integration departments in schools, counseling groups created by students for students, Romanian language courses, socializing clubs in schools or a year of preparation before enrolling in Romanian schools.
The event is part of our constant effort to support young refugees to make their voices heard and contribute to the life of the community in their new country. We want to take their ideas forward to schools and local and central authorities to make their recommendations a reality.
